WHERE WE'LL BE
For the week of the wedding we'll be staying in between Kato Paphos & the Coral Bay area at:
Sunset Bay Beach Hotel & Suites
We have opted for a small hotel - about 25minutes drive from the venue. It is slightly out of the way of town, so if you will not be hiring a car for your trip you may wish to stay closer to one of the main tourist areas listed below, such as Kato Paphos. However if you wish to stay nearby the Atlantica Mare Village, Cynthiana Beach Hotel or Queens Bay Hotel are in the vicinity.
Paphos has a range of options to suit all budgets and holiday styles - we recommend guests to find accommodation that suits them, ideally within the main areas listed below. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you'd like to talk about where to stay.
AREAS TO STAY
Central Paphos - about 20 minutes drive from the venue. As the centre of town you're well placed to get around from here.
The harbour area is full of hotels, bars and restaurants, and home to historical sites such as the castle and the ancient archaeological park.
Kato Paphos
A relaxed area that's also closer to the wedding venue - it's 5 minutes from town, and 15 minutes to the venue.
The area has a few hotels near the beach, which has a more laid-back vibe than the popular Coral Bay.
Yeroskipou
About 35minutes drive from the venue, this is a popular tourist hub.
Again there are a selection of bars & restaurants here, along with
Coral bay beach - a popular spot for all including families.
Coral Bay
The areas above are the key tourist hubs, however if you are just coming for the wedding day itself, the closest area is Anadiou village.
For those looking to get away from overly touristic spots we also recommend the Aphrodite Hills nearby to the venue.
We do recommend hiring a car if you are able - Paphos isn't very public transport friendly and some of the most beautiful spots are a drive away. However don't feel obliged, if you would rather not the three areas listed above are accessible via a regular bus service, connecting from Yeroskipou, Kato Paphos & the harbour, to the Coral Bay area.

A FEW FAVOURITES
Food & Drinks

Oniro by the Sea - a must visit for food, brilliant cocktails and gorgeous scenery - we love it every time we go. Opt for a daylight booking to make the most of it!
Muse - amazing views across Paphos, great all-day food and an excellent cocktail list!
Sea You Beach Bar - a lovely sunset spot with laid back vibes - come down on the 29th Sept and see for yourself!
Ocean Basket - like Nandos but with seafood - always hits the spot
Alea Lounge Bar - a nice spot for drinks by the sea if you're in the Harbour area
Suite 48 - another one for good sea views and ambience
Viklari the Last Castle - our favourite! Amazing views, a beautiful setting and tasty souvla - be warned it's a bit of a treacherous drive to get there but totally worth it!

Things to Do

Rikkos Beach - a laid back beach with decent bars and bathrooms. We recommend Cabana bar at the far end for luxury sun-loungers!
Coral Bay - probably the most popular beach in Paphos - has lovely white sand, decent beach facilities and watersports
Sandy Beach - A smaller lesser know beach - Julian's favourite for the waves - Tatiana's favourite for the sunsets. Has a small bar and v basic bathroom facilities. It can also have choppy water - make sure you check it's okay to swim if you go!
Queens Bay Beach - a nice coastal cove servicing the nearby hotels. Good for a quick dip or sun-lounge if you're in the area

Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark - a fun day for kids and big kids alike!
Paphos Archaelogical Park - if you fancy a bit of history - be warned it's massive! Go before sunset time for nice views (and cooler temperatures)
Explore the Sea Caves - a beautiful coastal area
Avakas Gorge - a trek through the limestone cliffs in the Akamas - wear sensible shoes!
Drive through the troodos mountains & villages - for some authentic Cypriot charm - many of the roads have stunning scenic views!
